Anti-Masons That Believe In God
|
If you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the ever living, omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, Jehovah God; that He was sent
by His Father to this earth over 2000 years ago to be born of the virgin Mary, lived here for 33 years teaching God's word and
leaving us parables to help us live by; that He suffered and died on the cross so that our sins can be forgiven; that He rose from
the grave 3 days later and stayed on this earth for another 40 days as was witnessed by 500 people; that if we confess our sins to
Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins; that He is the way, the truth, the life, and no one goes unto the Father except
through Him, that's great! So do I. You believe that Freemasonry is an evil entity that you need to fight against. I don't.
Books that teach anti-Masonry teach a delusional antipathy of Freemasonry, not the real Freemasonry. They take the views of one
man, Albert Pike, and rewrite what he wrote to twist his views and give them a totally different meaning. He is only one man. He
only speaks for one man. He even says so in his book, if you even have it, in the preface. Pike was the re-inventor of the Southern
Jurisdiction, one of many Jurisdictions of the Scottish Rite, in the early 19th century. The world was different then. People didn't
have TV or radio to entertain them so they tended to delve into anything written that would take them to foreign places like Egypt,
Africa, China, and India. Foreign things mystified them and kept their attention. That didn't mean that they weren't people of faith.
Pike studied foreign religions and tried to find comparisons between them and his own. He had a Christian faith. His interests led
him to also compare those religions to Freemasonry, most especially Scottish Rite Freemasonry. His famous book, "Morals and
Dogma", is the result of this study. His fascination with foreign beliefs led him to be a little overzealous. He later stated that he
made many wrong assumptions in this work and recanted many of the statements that he made. His "Book of Words" is another
book most quoted (or misquoted) by anti-Masons. He also recanted many of the things that he said in that book.
However most of the problems that anti-Masons have with Freemasonry usually come from the totally fictional ranting of a man
named Leo Taxil, which is an alias for Joghan Pages, a know pornographer and atheist from the 19th century. He led the Catholic
Church on a rampage against Freemasons by swearing that he attended a meeting of the Scottish Rite where Satan was
worshipped. He carried out this lie for over a decade building on it and expanding the lie more every year until finally exposing it for
what it was in a theater in Paris one night. His aim was to embarrass the Catholic Church, which as an atheist he despised, and get
back at Freemasonry which, after learning what kind of man he was, had expelled him before he could receive the second degree.
You can imagine how many newspapers and magazines carried his story day in and day out during that period. However, when it
came to recanting these stories, few gave it the time of day and just like today, when the truth came out it got buried on the last
page in most periodicals. Somehow Pat Robertson got hold of the story minus the revelation from Taxil that it was a lie. He
published it in his book about the new world order. A man named Schick in California printed the story in a tract and the rest is
history. God knew what He was talking about when He said that Satan is the father of lies. The great deceiver has a lot of
experience with turning folks who want to do the right thing into folks that unwittingly serve his purpose. He just sits back and
watches us destroy ourselves and relationships that would otherwise be fruitful by spreading a few lies that appear so believable,
convincing those that spread them that we are not capable of knowing we are wrong.
God's word has a test to judge people by. He said that we will know them by their works. The anti-Masonic movement explains
away the works of Freemasonry by saying that we believe that we can be saved by works. However, we teach that if you want to
find salvation you need to read the Holy Bible. It shows the only way to salvation. We declare the King James Version of the Holy
Bible to be the "Rule and Guide to our faith and practices" and the "Great Light in Masonry" not "Morals and Dogma" as the
anti-Masonic movement would have you believe.
In Freemasonry there are two branches to pursue after the Blue Lodge (the first three Degrees). You can join either or both of
these appending bodies of Masonry. Neither, however, has dominion over the Blue Lodge or each other. The Blue Lodge is the
foundation of Freemasonry. If a person loses his membership in his Masonic Lodge, he loses membership in all the appending
bodies of Freemasonry, some of which are the Scottish Rite, York Rite, Shrine, Eastern Star, Daughters of Job, Sojouners, Gotto,
etc. The Blue Lodge is true Freemasonry. The York Rite is considered to be the true extension of the Blue Lodge. The York Rite
is the said to be the "Christian Rite". The Scottish Rite is considered as the "Jewish Rite".
The anti-Masonic movement would have you believe that since the Scottish Rite goes up to 33 degrees, it is the upper echelon of
the Order and to reach there you must be an expert on Freemasonry. The truth is that it only takes one day to go from the 4th to
the 32nd Degree in the Scottish Rite. You go to a one-day reunion and receive 5 degrees that represent different portions of the
28 degrees of the Scottish Rite and take the 5 oaths that go with them and "boom" you're a 32nd Degree Mason. The 33rd
Degree is an honorary Degree awarded to a person who has done something outstanding in the community or for the country.
Sometimes it is given to a person of notoriety like a movie star or politician that has a good reputation. A person can go away with
these degrees having attended only a few meetings possessing a very limited knowledge of Freemasonry and Scottish Rite
Masonry. The Degrees don't make you an expert.
If you study anti-Masonic books and movies and web sites you will go away with knowledge of a delusional antipathy of
Freemasonry and not a true representation of our Fraternity. It's like studying anti-Christian or secular literature to find out what
Christ was like. Talking to an ex-Mason is like talking to an ex-spouse. They will seldom have flattering comments to say about
their ex's. I wouldn't go to someone who converted from Christianity to the Muslim faith expecting to hear the truth about
Christianity. Why would you expect anything different from an ex-Mason?
Instead of studying the anti-Masonic books, which only teach a delusional antipathy of Freemasonry, study the book that Masons
say is "the Rule and Guide" to their faith and practices. This book will tell you all you need to know about anything. This book is
the book that we have to open on our altar before we open our Lodges. This book will tell you how to live a life worth living and how
to live it more abundantly. This book contains the only way to eternal life. It's the Holy Bible. (We prefer the King James Version.)
As far as Freemasonry is concerned, what is wrong with helping people? What is wrong with trying to do the right thing?
Freemasonry is the most charitable organization in the world spending over $2 million a day on charity. It will heal the sick, clothe
the naked, feed the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless with no assistance from your government or your taxes. It will do this
for anyone regardless of race, color, creed, or affiliation. That means that we don't care who you are or whether you agree with
our organization or not, we will help you. You can hate us and be our biggest enemy and we will still help you. And the best part is,
it won't cost you a thing. We'll do it for free. Only a real foolish person would fight against something like that.
