"It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible" President George Washington, September
17th, 1796. That's why the immoral world would like to see both ignored. Righteousness comes from God and they don't
want anything to do with what is righteous. Let's not forget that Freemasonry has stood by the plum line of righteousness
for thousands of years. That is why we need to keep our Lodges strong. There has hardly been a time when our country
needed us more than it does today. Let's strive to be stronger and keep our standards high as "defenders of freedom"
should. So may it forever be.
We must be cautious not to fall into the trap of being so zealously in favor of the freedom of religion that we become
promoters of freedom from religion!
As defenders of freedom, we should be concerned that our freedom of religion never be compromised. As defenders
of freedom we should be concerned that our freedom to safely walk our streets day or night not be compromised under
the guise of civil liberties.
If this Country becomes free of all religion and morality the morally inept will then promote their will and make us
virtually helpless when the 'Trojan Horse' suddenly bursts open and reveals the enemy in our midst. It's time for the
Organizations of Freemasonry to openly express our disdain for immorality and support the moral ethics lain down in
our Great Light, the Holy Bible.
Communism: Is It Alive and Well In the USA Today?
|
"Masonry abhors Communism as being repugnant to its conception of the dignity of individual personality,
destructive of the basic rights which are the divine heritage of all men and inimical of the fundamental Masonic
tenet of faith in God. Anyone embracing Communism is therefore barred from Masonic membership in Louisiana."
(Handbook of Masonic Law of Louisiana, page iv)
The following is from a book called Dynamic Freedoms; by Robert B. Watts in 1977:
How Communism Conquers Step 8, page 63
This is subversion. It explains how Lenin with 17 supporters took over Russia's 175,000,000 people with the aid of
only 40,000 followers.
"Subversion has a thousand faces. It permeates every crack and crevice. It destroys men's spiritual force, it robs
them of their standards and principles, it stupefies them with alcohol and drugs, it encourages every vice and sin,
and it renders them easy marks for betrayals and well-nigh helpless as defenders of their freedoms. Already slaves
to drugs, sex, gambling, treachery, and fearful of riots, turmoil, and threats-the defenders of freedom are virtually
helpless when the 'Trojan Horse' suddenly bursts open and reveals the Communist enemy in their midst."
But after considering this explanation of how Communism moves into a nation I wondered if the Communist
propaganda started in the 60s may have taken root and now resides under a new name - Secular Humanism. One of
the main objectives of Communism is to destroy religious influence making it possible for a dictatorial regime to
rule without being questioned, scrutinized, or held accountable for their actions. Without a plumb line to try their
uprightness, they are free to feed their own agenda of power and destruction.
This explanation of how Communism subverts a society puzzled me. One cannot help but see the similarities
between this short explanation and the course that our Nation is going today. This is a concern to all Freemasons
due to the fact that we are an Order that promotes high moral values. Since our ideals are a threat to the liberal
secularist agenda, we are highly expendable and a target to their supporters. It's no wonder there seems to be a
push to bring false propaganda against us by the different world medias. It is amazing how quickly people can be
misled by false accusations and false propaganda.
It's time for us to stand up and be counted as supporters of the moral standards that our ritual so beautifully
describes us as. Violence, depravity, drugs, gambling, drunkenness - these are not political issues! These are moral
issues. Something becomes morally wrong when the quality of life of members of human society is at stake. If our
nation turns its back on God our quality of life is at stake. If we allow deviates, drunks, thieves, and violent people
to walk our streets - our quality of life is at stake. Are we afraid that we will be marked as religious fanatics if we
stand up against immorality? SO MAY IT FOREVER BE!
One of our most famous fore fathers, George Washington, said the following in his farewell address on
September 19, 1796:
"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, Religion and morality are indispensable
supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of
human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. Let it simply be asked where is the security
for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths, which are the instruments
of investigation in Courts of Justice? And let us with caution indulge the supposition, that morality can be
maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of the refined education on minds of
peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect that National morality can prevail in exclusion
of religious principle."
It seems that today's society shies away from being religious. And so, true religion is the one thing that we are
the most deficient of today. It shouldn't surprise us that 75% of today's youth don't live with both birth parents.
Religion requires putting faith in a Supreme Being that will hold us accountable. Without a fear of God they feel that
there is no one to be accountable to. Our society doesn't want to be reminded that there is a God, because they
don't want to be reminded that there is accountability and responsibility so that they can feel at ease when shirking
both. What they fail to realize is, that the moral law is not designed to be a tool to rebuke mankind with. It is meant
to be a course of instruction on how to live a life with no regrets in preparation of a secure future.
Bud Holman loaned me this book. He said that someone gave the Lodge a few copies decades ago. I gave him
his copy back and ordered one for myself from the Southern Jurisdiction of the Scottish Rite only to find that it did
not contain the section on "Communism". I wrote the Scottish Rite, via e-mail, to find out what had happened.
They in turn sent me to Brother Watts who explained that the subject hadn't come up for some time. I didn't
understand, but, although I was somewhat frustrated, I decided not to press the issue. Maybe the author decided
that Communism is no longer a threat to our society.
