Rabbi Daniel Lapin is an Orthodox Rabbi, businessman, author, syndicated talk show host, and speaker from Seattle,
Washington. His work is recognized and heralded by the likes of Dr. James Kennedy, John Ashcroft, Dr. Ralph Reed,
Gary Bauer, Zig Ziglar, and Rabbis from all over America and Canada. In 1999 Rabbi Lapin wrote an interesting book
entitled, "America's Real War". His book describes the two warring factions that are trying to gain control of America
today. On one side you have the liberal or secular faction that would have us devalue the moral and religious standards
that our nation was founded on. The other side is the conservative or religious side that would rather have us hold on to
the traditional moral values of our country. Here are a few excerpts from his book.
Page 12 "One faith, Judaism, has produced the longest-lasting, continuous culture in the history of the world, while
the other, Christianity, has been responsible, among other things, for the founding of America, the greatest civilization
the world has ever known, and for making America great. This book will describe how a weakened Christianity in America
threatens all Americans, including Jews."
Page 179 "The lesson of Genesis is that men have only two choices. They can aspire to be real men, or they can
emulate animals. Which they choose will be revealed best by how they treat women and their children. If they dedicate
their lives to one woman, supporting her, nurturing her and growing into a giver through her, they are men, not animals. If
each of their children are regarded as precious jewels to be gradually exposed to a wondrous world, they are men, not
animals. Men who use women merely for selfish gratification live by the secular, animalistic worldview. Without the loving,
loyal commitment of marriage as God designed it, such men may have spawn but never children.
Which of these two paths any society follows depends on whether the Bible is considered a blueprint or a relic. If you
doubt this assertion, just visit locations in America that stand as tribute to each of those incompatible views. Visit
communities where people follow God's ways seriously and you will find, for the most part, stable homes, loving parents,
and children on their way to becoming model citizens. Compare these beacons of home life with parts of some American
cities regarded as crowning achievements of government-sponsored secular fundamentalism and notice the profound
difference. Which path, really, is best for present and future America?"
On issues regarding religious doctrine concerning the Deity, third generation Orthodox Jewish Rabbi Daniel Lapin
and I would strongly disagree. But he realizes that the Judeo-Christian values, on which our great nation was founded,
provides an environment where we may respectfully disagree, but still voice our opinions without fear of retribution from
our government. Nations founded on the principles and values of other religions don't provide that liberty. Nations that
won't allow religions in their land are totalitarian communist nations that have no liberty.
Rabbi Lapin and I agree on the need for high moral values in our nation. These are values that our two religions
agree on and we both realize that in order for our nation to survive these values must remain constant. Wouldn't it be
great if all of the religions that promote high moral values in our nation could promote them together and join in the fight
against secularism? That's why our Fraternity is so valuable to our country today. Our Fraternity promotes those values
that make men into "real men" and inspires men to refuse to "emulate animals". The Fraternity of Freemasonry, the oldest
and greatest Fraternity in the world, provides the forum for men of different faiths to fight a common cause against
immorality and secularism. The most patriotic thing that a man can do today is to become a good family man, an active
dedicated church member, and a Freemason. Secularists hate religion and Freemasonry. Sock it to 'em.
